Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Traske Muir has joined our team and is now accepting patients in Afton. Dr. Muir specializes in foot and ankle care, ranging from arthritis to bunions and Achilles tendon injuries.
Dr. Muir reflects on a patient experience that inspired him to pursue orthopedics – the remarkable recovery of a motorcycle crash survivor. “In the middle of the night we put a rod in his leg, and he was walking in the hallway the next day. To see those immediate results, I thought, ‘Wow, this is for me.’”
PHILOSOPHY OF CARE
“If patients have a good understanding of what’s wrong and what their options are, then I can help guide them to pathways or treatments that fit their goals. Finding out what’s important to patients – being able to lift their grandkids again, or to walk their dog, or to ski again – helps me tailor a personalized treatment plan.”
