We’re here for you in your moment of need, and we’re continually developing our emergency services to care for you and your loved ones.
Dr. Kristen Johannessen, Dr. Tricia Miedema, and Dr. Brooke Yasgur have joined our emergency team in Afton and Alpine. These exceptional doctors bring a deep expertise in emergency care and have provided care across the US and around the world. We’re thrilled that they’ve brought their strengths to our community.
When it comes to emergencies, our ER team stresses that timely care is critically important.
Even in situations that at the time turn out to be less severe, Dr. Johannessen emphasizes that finding conditions early can help prevent life-threatening complications down the road.
We know that a trip to the ER can be overwhelming, and we’re here to partner with you on the road to healing.
We also know that health crises don’t happen on schedule. Day or night, don’t hesitate to seek help. Says Dr. Johannessen, “There’s a reason why our doors are open 24/7. In the end, it’s just making sure that everybody is safe and everybody is cared for.”
From our doctors to our nurses and EMS crew, our team works with empathy and diligence. For Dr. Yasgur, it all comes down to this: “I’d like to be the best version of a doctor you can hope for on your worst day.”

“We want to be proactive. If at any time you feel like you need care, now is the moment to do it.”

“It’s all about communication. Patients discuss with me their concerns, and I discuss with them what I’ve found in our workup, and together we come up with a plan.“

“I’m a doctor, but I’m also a human being who is probably not that much different than my patients. That is a cornerstone of the way I practice.”
