Dr. Brian Affleck-an ear, nose, and throat specialist- is joining Star Valley Health medical staff effective April 1.
Dr. Affleck comes to Star Valley after 31 years practicing medicine in the Air Force, Oregon, and southwest Idaho. Raised in Idaho Falls, he says it’s been a lifelong dream to return home, and Star Valley “is even better than home.”
“I’m very much an outdoorsman,” he explains. “I’m a winter person who loves being in the mountains.” Dr. Affleck and his wife, Mary, have five grown children and 12 grandchildren.
Philosophy of Care
“I want patients to know that I really work at getting them well. I work had to make sure they get the right care at the right time. It’s more than doing a good exam. Some problems are complex and hard to distinguish. Taking the time to understand the patient and their root issues is key.”
