Stop the Bleed® Classes

Are You Prepared for a Life-Threatening Emergency?

Star Valley Health is proud to offer the ACS Stop the Bleed® class from the American College of Surgeons, combined with a non-certification, hands-only CPR class.

Our certified instructors bring years of real-world experience in teaching CPR and responding to life-threatening emergencies. This course is ideal for individuals who do not need a CPR certification card but want the confidence and skills to respond effectively in an emergency.

What You’ll Learn

Stop the Bleed®

Participants learn how to:

• Recognize life-threatening bleeding
• Act quickly and confidently to control severe bleeding
• Use life-saving techniques in the critical moments before first responders arrive

Hands-on skills include:

• Tourniquet application
• Wound packing
• Pressure dressings

You will receive a certificate of completion for the Stop the Bleed® portion of the class.

Hands-Only CPR (Non-Certification)

Participants will also learn:

• How to recognize cardiac arrest
• How to respond immediately using hands-only CPR
• How to provide effective chest compressions until help arrives

While this portion does not provide CPR certification, it delivers the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently in an emergency.

You Can Make a Difference

Emergencies can happen anywhere — while hiking in the mountains, driving on the interstate, enjoying time at the shooting range, or simply walking down the street.

Even if your job does not require this training, this class prepares you for the unexpected. When seconds matter, you can be the one who makes a difference.

This class is provided at NO COST to you.
