What is Behavioral Health?
Behavioral health incorporates mental and physical health in a broad association of overall well-being of mind, body & spirit. Mental health is an essential part of our human existence and influences thoughts, behaviors and emotions. Having emotional and mental health promotes effectiveness and productivity in relationships, education, employment, and all other areas of life. Just as our physical health is important to our quality of life, our mental health is important to having and creating meaning and purpose, and a life worth living.

What is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)?
Licensed professional counselors (LPCs) are master’s-degreed mental health service providers, trained to work with individuals, families, and groups in treating mental, behavioral, and emotional problems and disorders.
Who is the Star Valley Behavioral Health LPC?
Jaimi Scott, LPC completed her bachelor of science degree in family studies with a minor in psychology from Weber State University and her master’s degree in counseling at the University of Phoenix.

What Are Your Specialties?
Depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, bi-polar, substance use, and many other disorders. Experienced in EMDR trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy and skills training, motivational interviewing, child-centered play therapy, and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive therapy, among others. Jaimi Scott is also trained in level one of Gottman Couples Therapy.
