Radiology Services

The history of radiology dates back over 100 years: the X-ray was discovered in 1895! Imaging tests offer many benefits to patients, from life-saving diagnostics to reducing the need for exploratory surgeries.
We provide an array of imaging tests, including:
Radiology scans can be used for many purposes. They play a key role in detecting tumors or diseases early, along with monitoring injuries or other medical conditions. Our nuclear medicine services offer even more in-depth insights, by assessing how a patient’s organs, bones, and tissues are functioning.
We also provide 2D and 3D mammograms, along with breast MRI. While not a replacement for annual mammograms, a breast MRI can potentially discover tumors undetected by other imaging tests. Breast MRIs can be especially helpful for women with dense breast tissue or at high risk for breast cancer. Visit our mammography page to learn more about our services and financial assistance for preventive screenings.
We know that undergoing any imaging test can be distressing. Our team takes steps to provide a comfortable experience for all patients. For example, our MRI machine features a spacious tunnel for patients uneasy about enclosed spaces, while our mobile X-ray supports patients who cannot be moved to our radiology department. You can also expect timely results on our MyChart patient portal.
We understand that some patients may feel concerned about radiation exposure from medical imaging tests. However, – in many cases the benefits of diagnosing conditions early greatly outweighs the risks of these procedures. Additionally, know that not all radiology procedures require radiation. For example, MRIs and ultrasounds are radiation-free imaging scans.
Other imaging tests, like mammograms, use far less radiation than you are naturally exposed to each day by background radiation – or radiation found in your home or in the air. As with any treatment, talk to your doctor about any concerns you may have. The American Cancer Society also provides helpful radiology insights to help you make informed decisions.
Whether you’re navigating a chronic condition or seeking a preventive screening, our team is here to support you with expertise and efficiency.
