Dr. Brad Washburn, an Evanston orthopedist with Mountain West Orthopedics, accompanied the Men’s Giant Slalom Team to Slovenia for a World Cup event in March.
“It was an exciting weekend of racing at a beautiful venue in Kranjska Gora. Fortunately, our skiers remained healthy and performed well, which made my job easy,” Dr. Washburn explained. He has been part of the US Ski Team physician pool for seven years. The team includes River Radamus and Tommy Ford, former Olympians and gold medalists.
“Being able to travel the world with the US Ski team and then to practice in such a wonderful community as Evanston is incredibly fulfilling,” says Dr. Washburn.
