The string of credentials behind Ben Skinner’s
name says it all: RT, R, N, MR, CT, BD, ARRT.
They represent the radiology skills he has developed before and during
his nine years as a radiographic technologist at Star Valley Health.
Most recently, Ben completed the nuclear medicine program at Weber
State University, received the outstanding academic excellence award
by the University, and was awarded the Rad to the Bone award by the
Hospital Cooperative.
But to Ben, the patients he serves are much more important than
those credentials.
“Hospitals are awkward,” explains Ben, “so I work to make a difficult
time as pleasant as possible. I try to treat everyone as though they are my
immediate family while they are here. I love being a part of a hospital that
is big enough to have nice equipment but small enough that I can take
the time to care for patients the right way.”
Terry Lemon, director of radiology and cardiac rehab, says “Ben is a
fantastic and dedicated employee who loves the profession of radiology.
We appreciate his positive and friendly attitude and the degree to which
he commits himself to any job he undertakes. He is truly a pleasure to
work with.”
