If you’ve driven through our Afton urgent care clinic for a
COVID-19 test, you’ve likely met Brannon Ayres, family
nurse practitioner. The last 18 months has been non-stop change,
Brannon says. “Initially it was pretty stressful dealing with the unknown.
But now I’ve accepted that I can’t predict what will happen with any of
this. I focus on the patient in front of me.”
“Unflappable” is how Donald Kirk, MD, medical staff director, describes
Brannon. “He’s one of the nicest guys I know. His attitude is to give
extra when he needs to and help out whenever possible.”
Brannon also sees patients in the urgent care clinic, and meeting so
many community members is rewarding. “I want them to feel like they’re
being listened to, that we’re coming up with a plan for their care together.”
