EMS Services

“Star Valley Emergency Medical Services brings lifesaving medications, equipment, and techniques to you. We’re a direct extension of the emergency department at Star Valley Health.” – Bud Clark, director of EMS
When emergencies arise, we’re ready. Star Valley Health’s EMS provides 24/7 emergency services, along with critical care transport.
We take into account Wyoming’s unique EMS challenges, from severe weather to mountainous terrain. Our team is trained to work in high altitudes and operate vehicles beyond our ambulances, including ATVs and snowmobiles. We also partner with surrounding agencies and facilities for air transport. At Star Valley Health, no patient is out of reach.
Our ambulances are equipped with extensive treatments and technology, including but not limited to:
Our EMS team consists of EMTs, AEMTs (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician), IEMTs (Intermediate Emergency Medical Technician), and paramedics. EMTs and paramedics are partnered together on shifts, providing highly skilled emergency response 24/7. We’re continually engaged in training and the pursuit of advanced certifications, and are committed to providing the Star Valley community with exemplary emergency support.
Our emergency response is suited for Star Valley’s remote location.
In some cases, patients require emergency care beyond our local resources, and may need to be transferred to a regional facility. This is where critical care transport is vital. Critical care transport helps ensure that a patient remains stabilized and supported with essential medications and treatments while en route to a definitive facility.
From extreme weather events to road hazards, there are many variables that create high risk for travel during emergencies. If you’re experiencing a crisis, don’t attempt to drive yourself or your loved one to the hospital. Receiving medical care during transport can be lifesaving.
Critical care transport can also greatly support non-emergency situations where patients need travel assistance due to mobility challenges or acute medical conditions. For more information on our critical care transport services, call 307-226-4336.
Provide peace of mind to your attendees with EMS presence at your next event. Our EMS standby service offers medical assistance at a variety of events, including:
