For Linda Hedges, an invitation to a
meeting of the Star Valley Health Auxiliary
has led to over a decade of memories.
Linda joined the auxiliary 12 years ago and now serves as auxiliary vice president.
“I had a friend who said, ‘Why don’t you come and get involved with it?’ So I did, and I’ve stayed there since,” says Linda. “I’m very much a person who wants to be out and visiting with people. I’m retired, so this has been good for me to do what I can for different purposes.”
In recent years the auxiliary has raised funds for equipment for our Care Center and ER, along with renovations for our radiology department. Members bring encouragement to our patients and staff at our Gifts of Joy gift shop and various events benefiting Star Valley Health.
“Linda is very generous with her time in support of the hospital,” says Andra Parmenter, executive assistant at Star Valley Health. “She’s a welcoming face at the auxiliary meetings and an enthusiastic planner.”
Linda is looking forward to the auxiliary’s future endeavors and hopes others will consider joining, too. “We have a great, friendly bunch. Everybody’s got a different talent, from making blankets for the babies to our bake sales. It’s really wonderful.”
