Carolyn Fauber rang in her 34th year at Star Valley Health this summer. And at 80 years old, she has no plans of retiring anytime soon.
She has witnessed incredible growth throughout her journey, from the addition of new departments to new medical devices and solutions. “It has really been something to watch and see how the technology has come so far.”
And she’s been an essential part of that journey. Though today many patients may manage their medical care online, Carolyn remembers the days of all paper files. She helped support the massive task of digitizing Star Valley Health’s patient records.
“She is one of the best typist/transcriptionists we’ve ever had,” says Dr. Donald Kirk, medical director.
Most of all, Carolyn brings a warmth to Star Valley Health. Dr. Kirk gives thanks for Carolyn’s dedication and endearing laughter. “It has helped me get through some of my tougher days,” he says. “Star Valley Health without Carolyn just wouldn’t be the same place.”
Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys reading, landscape photography, and a good game of Scrabble. “I enjoy working. I enjoy the people I work with, and I have a great time. I’ll just stay as long as they let me!”
