For William Hobbs, diligence is in the details. William works as a floor tech and an Environmental Services (EVS) specialist.
He and his team are responsible for disinfecting and inspecting all hospital areas, from the emergency room to the operating room. It’s a role that’s not for the faint of heart, but William meets it head-on.
“We clean above what the standard is. If you are admitted onto the floor, you’re going to know that your room’s clean. We ensure that it’s patient-ready.”
William plays an essential role in maintaining a safe environment for patients. Extensive processes are supported by monthly and quarterly training, to stay apprised of evolving health risks and best practices.
William’s impact expands far beyond his EVS responsibilities. Says emergency nurse Kaycee O’Connor, “I am always so impressed by Will‘s willingness to do anything to help anyone, from jumping in to help a patient, to answering the phone. He’s an awesome team player.”
