Taylor Keehn, RN, received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses in a ceremony before the
Star Valley Health Board of Directors in January.
More than 5,000 healthcare facilities and schools of nursing honor nurses with The DAISY Award for clinical skill and compassion. Taylor was nominated by Connie and Bill Day, who were treated at Star Valley Health first for joint surgeries and then for COVID. Taylor cared for them during both their hospitalizations.
“Taylor stands out for her exceptional and professional care,” wrote Connie. “She was willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were cared for. From getting us warm blankets to special food orders to taking time to listen and help in whatever we needed. She is amazing.”
Taylor’s approach is straightforward. “I do the best I can to help patients get through their most difficult times,” she explains. One unforgettable memory: “Taking care of a very sick patient that I never thought I would see again and then running into them at the grocery store. They remembered me right away.”
We are grateful for the outstanding care Taylor and our nurses give our patients every single day.
