If you’ve ever had a question about your Star Valley Health bill, you’ve probably met Kori Nelson.


Along with working in admissions, mailing invoices, and answering phones, Kori helps patients through all of their statement questions. You can imagine that’s not easy.


“I try to allow others to vent and take out their frustrations,” Kori explains. “My goal is to help people feel a little better and leave feeling like I’ve helped them to resolve a problem.”


Sarah Merritt, revenue cycle director, says Kori never complains. Instead, she just says “Okay, we’ve got this.” This attitude and her listening skills make a difference with patients. “Recently, as I sat in a patient complaint meeting reading this letter from the patient, the second sentence was a shoutout to Kori about how great she is to work with.
