One of the best kept secrets in Wyoming, Star Valley is 60 miles long and is comprised of 13 communities. Afton is 70 miles from Jackson; 90 miles from Grand Teton National Park; 185 miles from Yellowstone National Park; 105 miles from Idaho Falls; and 215 miles from Salt Lake City. The valley’s elevations range from 5,600 feet at the north end to 7,000 feet at the south end. The population varies seasonally, from 11,000 to 15,000 inhabits.
With an abundant supply of unmatched outdoor activities and year round beauty, the valley is nestled in the Salt River Range of the Rocky Mountains. Attractions often include breath taking views, hiking, biking, trophy fishing, and hunting.
