Interventional Radiology Available in Alpine
Dr. Dustin Tew has joined our team and is now accepting appointments in Alpine.
Says Dr. Tew, “Interventional radiologists use imaging guidance and very small incisions to fix or repipe some of the ways that the body is supposed to function. We treat many areas of the body, such as the spine, the arteries, the veins, the liver, and the kidneys.”
Dr. Tew provides a wide range of care, including:
- Image-guided biopsy
- Kyphoplasty
- Lower extremity angioplasty and stenting
- Port placement and removal
- Image-guided injections
- Tumor ablation
While every patient experience is unique, these minimally-invasive procedures can offer a speedier recovery with reduced risk of complications compared to traditional surgery. For Dr. Tew, restoring a patient’s quality of life is top of mind.
“I love the outdoors and I love being in the mountains,” says Dr. Tew. “If there was something physically limiting me from that, I know my quality of life would go down. I try to gain an understanding of what brings my patients joy in life and get them back to the life they want to live.”
