Tens of millions of people in the US live with one or more rheumatic conditions. Rheumatic conditions are inflammatory or autoimmune disorders that typically affect the musculoskeletal system, but can also impact blood vessels, organs, nerves, and skin.
Rheumatologists are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic and associated conditions, including:
- Arthritis
- Gout
- Lupus
- Osteoporosis
- Scleroderma
- Spinal stenosis
- Spondylitis
- Vasculitis
Through our Telerheumatology program you can stay close to home while meeting virtually with our partnering rheumatologists.
Telerheumatology in Western Wyoming
Telerheumatology appointments are available at our Afton, Alpine, and Bridger Valley locations. During your appointment, you’ll connect on a video call with your rheumatologist while a Star Valley Health nurse assists with your exam. Our rheumatology program is designed to support you throughout your journey, from pre-diagnosis to treatment and checkups.
“Through technology, we’re able to bring rheumatology right to our community. The ease of using the telemedicine technology and the clarity of the video allows for a quality interaction. And the appointment durations allow for very thorough conversations, which is really important.” – Cory Ricks, Director of Provider Services
