Sandy Spencer discovered our Star Valley Health Auxiliary 10 years ago after moving to Star Valley.
“I wanted to meet people and feel part of the community. I went to a meeting, and I just loved it. I was like, ‘Oh, I can do this.’”
Sandy has supported the auxiliary in many ways over the years. She helps run our Gifts of Joy gift shop, sews blankets for babies born at our hospital, and supports our fundraising with her beloved, from-scratch fruit pies.
“Sandy freely shares her time and her considerable baking abilities to help the auxiliary help the hospital,” says Andra Parmenter, director of volunteers. “She’s one of our most dependable volunteers.”
Sandy speaks to her heart for serving with the auxiliary: “Even on the coldest day, the beauty of Star Valley lingers. Everybody is so willing to help everybody. We have a good community.”
