After a severe wrist fracture from a car accident, Billy experienced the transformative support of specialized orthopedics.
“My hand therapist pretty much put my life back together. It was through working with her that I decided that’s what I wanted to pursue in a career, because it made such a difference in my own life.”
Billy has worked with Star Valley Health for more than a decade. He joined our team as an occupational therapist and became a certified hand therapist in 2018. Along with hand therapy, Billy also creates custom orthotics for patients.
“The orthotics allow us to keep the patient safe, but also start their therapy earlier,” explains Billy. “This prevents complications and helps the patient have better outcomes sooner.”
“Billy is the only certified hand therapist in the valley, and an integral part of Dr. Stucki’s team,” says Dan Jeske, director of physical therapy. “We would not have the hand program we do without Billy’s expertise.”
